Mystery Twister encourages everyone to submit cryptographic challenges to the Mystery Twister framework. With more than 10,000 registered players we provide a good platform for presenting your challenge to a broad and experienced community of people.
The design of the first challenges has been very successful but it turns out that this is a task that is very difficult in the long run. The main problem is that we are no experts in design.
This is no major problem for Level II and Level II, here the main problem is finding a challenged that is not too hard and not too easy, if possible with a practical application. The implementation of these challenges is fairly simple, at most some interactive Web forms serving as oracles for the cryptographic operations.
For Level I things are different. Here the difficult part starts after having figured out what the challenge should be like: The challenge has to be implemented as an attractive interactive game. The hard part is often to “hide” the math behind the animation- without destroying the idea of the challenge or the possible solution. While we might be experts in cryptography we are certainly no experts in designing games or flash movies.
That is where you can help us – and we can help you to make your challenge well known.
If you are interested in designing a Level I challenge – either your own challenge or a challenge based on one of our ideas – for Mystery Twister please get involved by sending a mail to:
